It was good craic, Dillonger, but a definite reminder that it's not how far you go, it's how hard you go! A few there fell victim to the revenge of the chicken sandwich - a club-member, who shall remain nameless, had to give the dinner a good talking to before it agreed to stay where it should. Myself, Stephen and Bruce were confirmed sightings with a few supporters shouting from the wings - thanks Davin!

All in all, a nice race, and the school was delighted with the turn-out.

The Tramore 4 - the Horse's Mouth version

Post by Marco on Tue Apr 20, 2010 1:48 am

So, full details of the Tramore 4 run -

Taking place on Friday, April 30th at 7 pm.

Race Registration from 5.30 pm at the Oceanics Surf School; €12 entry fee.

The course is over two laps, roughly the same route as the Spokes duathlon, so a nice fast, flat course, and no running up that Gallwey's Hill malarky.

Prizes for both the ladies and the gents (for those who might be in the hunt) are as follows:
1st - €60
2nd - €30
3rd - €12

The €12 might be a bit steep, but all the funds raised go straight to Glor na Mara National School for teaching resources, and definitely not for cream buns for the teachers. We don't even like cream buns. Honest.

A lovely opportunity for the Ironmen to cycle out via Dungarvan, with maybe a nice leisurely dip (3km) in Splashworld after to cool down... Basketball
Or for sane people - a few cheeky scoops up the Vic cheers

I knew you would have the details, if I am really honest i had no idea what the school was called and even less of an idea how it is spelt. Thanks for rescuing me Marco! I think teachers are just great, exept the ones who kept me in detention when I was younger!

It's my school, actually, Copperman. I'll get the full details and pop them up. Incidentally, it's lunchtime, and I'm not on the forum while teaching (whatever Joe Duffy says) Shocked
